Trust

Update as of 10-15-2018 -- The case has been dismissed by both parties.  As we have agreed to move forward, the dismissed case will remain confidential.

----

Trust is something we all consider valuable.  Trust is fundamental in the creation and building of any type of relationship. I found countless quotes about "trust." Some had an author, such as the following:

"Love all, trust a few."
--- William Shakespeare

"The best way to find out of you can trust somebody is to trust them."
---- Ernest Hemingway

"Whoever is careless with the truth in small matters
cannot be trusted with important matters."
--- Albert Einstein

"The trust of the innocent is the liar's most useful tool."
--- Stephen King

What is Trust?

Google gives a very concise and clear definition --
Firm belief in the reliability, truth, ability, or strength of someone or something.

Although it sounds simple, it is the most powerful element needed to build and sustain any type of relationship. When I think about my past relationships, both professional and personal, it becomes more evident that without trust, a relationship CANNOT survive.

Trust Issues

A strong friendship and business relationship I have with someone was put to the test recently. After this test, our relationship suffered but eventually survived after we had an honest and open conversation. The main issue in the relationship was "trust."

During this period of time, the lack of effective communication between us created conflict. This friend grew so untrusting to the point that he became paranoid about my intentions. In the past, we had shared with each other some stories about other people whom we had a hard time trusting. I would always tell him to ask questions when in doubt instead of making assumptions and creating stories. I told him that not making assumptions had saved many of my relationships.

We met at a restaurant last week. The first thing he said as he sat down at the table was, "are you recording this conversation?" He made me show my cell phone and then demanded I put it away. I was thinking "wow, he has become really paranoid."

What was shocking is how familiar this situation seemed to me... just as when Victor Alfieri became paranoid and started to create bizarre stories about me and others involved in the production of our film.

So it is not surprising that Victor Alfieri was brought up into our conversation. "I would love to hear his side of the story," he said. I told him to simply visit this blog and read the story if he wished. He responded that he had done so and had googled me. "And it doesn't make you look good," he added. I quickly said "I don't care what your opinion is. I did what felt right for me. I told the TRUTH."

I will not deny I got very upset with that comment. I will also admit that it was not true that I did not care about his opinion. Of course I cared. We all care about what our friends or colleagues think of us. It is based on those opinions that we act upon, that we treat others and that we build solid relationships. What I really meant to say was, "I have no control over your opinion. I did what felt right for me. I told the TRUTH. And it really hurts to hear you have such a low image of me.... and that you do not trust me."

I am aware that his statements and accusations are a reflection of himself and his own fears - and they have NOTHING to do with me.  We can only see the negative traits in others that exist in our own reality - either something we have and want to hide or something we have witnessed or have endured as a "victim." I wonder to what type of betrayal he has been subjected, what experiences have scarred him in such a way that he has a hard time trusting anyone.

Fortunately we were eventually able to work out all the differences and misunderstandings.  He has opted to trust again... And so have I. After this incident our friendship has gotten stronger. We have made the pact to always communicate openly with the each other.

Should We Trust Others?

Yes!!! We should.  Even if they betray us??  Yes! I am not saying that if someone is a compulsive liar and has proven unreliable again and again, we should "trust" them with important and vital decisions we make in life. That is why we have common sense, right? But we can extend our trust to them from one human to another, by encouraging them to believe in themselves - believe that they can do better and can keep their word.  We reflect TRUST on one another.  If we trust, we are more likely to be trusted. If we distrust, we will probably get the same in return.

You may be deceived if you trust too much,
but you will live in torment if you don't trust enough."
 --- Frank Crane

"Our distrust is very expensive."
--- Ralph Waldo Emerson

"It is an equal failing to trust everybody, and to trust nobody."
--- English Proverb

"It is impossible to go through life without trust;
that is to be imprisoned in the worst cell of all, oneself."
--- Graham Greene

As Cardinal De Retz states, "a man who doesn't trust himself can never really trust anyone else." In other words, it all starts with ourselves. How can I trust anyone else when I cannot trust the person closest to me -- my SELF?

"As soon as you trust yourself,
you will know how to live."
---Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe

Respect cannot survive without trust. Love cannot be expressed in the absence of trust. Trust, as Stephen Covey puts it, "is the glue of life. It's the most essential ingredient in effective communication. It's the foundational principle of all relationships," including the relationship we have with ourselves.

Many say that trust is earned just as respect. I disagree. I believe that trust is a choice. It is a choice that starts with self-trust. Let's have trust in ourselves, in our intuition, in knowing that we always have the answer we are seeking and can make the right decisions in life if we listen to our soul. Let's pay it forward and extend this gift of TRUST to everyone around us. Let's create a wave of trust through forgiveness, compassion and kindness towards others.

A New Beginning

Update as of 10-15-2018 -- The case has been dismissed by both parties.  As we have agreed to move forward, the dismissed case will remain confidential.

----

Today I decided to change the name of my blog from "The Trevino-Alfieri Story" to "The Trevino Story." There was something unsettling about having my last name linked to Victor's by a hyphen. Although I am still litigating this lawsuit against him, I no longer want to have my name associated with his - at least, I do not want to create more posts on my blog under that combined name.

After all, it is my story. I am aware that I am the only person who sees the world the way I do. Therefore, I have a unique way to interpret the events that happened and continue happening .

Because I truly enjoy writing, I want to feel free to write about other subjects not related to Alfieri.  As some of you know, over a year ago, I started another blog "Who Is Writing Your Story?" That blog has had very few visitors. I remember talking to some friends and saying, "why do people go to the drama-filled Trevino-Alfieri Story when they can read something inspiring and uplifting on my other blog "Who's Writing Your Story?"

It seems like people are naturally drawn to drama. It is just human nature. That is the reason why about a year ago I decided to incorporate some of my realizations and insights that were intended for "Who's Writing Your Story?" in this blog. Why not offer some "entertaining" drama while also sharing valuable and inspiring messages?  And why not change the name of this blog to something that is more accurately descriptive of its contents?

Share Your Story

We all have a story to tell. Although some stories might resemble others, each story is truly unique.  We are the only ones who can tell our story accurately - nobody else. We are the ones who write it and the only ones that can ultimately understand it and make sense of it. By sharing our thoughts and truth with others, we allow others to share theirs with us as well. It is through sharing and listening, that we open up to others. We are then able to realize how similar our experiences really are and how easily our souls can connect if we simply allow them.

Being Brave

Update as of 10-15-2018 -- The case has been dismissed by both parties.  As we have agreed to move forward, the dismissed case will remain confidential.

----

Last night a male friend of mine said to me that having all these details of my relationship with Victor over the internet was a big "turn off." His advice to me was not to talk about it. "And these lawsuits..." he started saying, "I did not start any of this" I interrupted. And not to talk about it??? It was not a choice for me anymore. My reputation and business were greatly damaged because of this. I had to clear my name somehow.

This friend then said, "you must have done something to make him do what he did to you." I don't believe I am responsible for Victor's actions. However, I would have to agree with my friend to some degree. This "Trevino-Alfieri Story" would have not happened if I had not stayed in a relationship with Victor - a relationship as a lover, friend or business partner. I chose to stay. I chose to trust him. I chose to invest in his film. I chose not to speak up when I disagreed. I always had a choice... And I certainly made a choice every time.

I finally feel that I am starting to recover from this whole experience. I believe I have come a long way. But, why am I so hurt by my friend's words?... So what am I supposed to do now? Should I take down this blog? Should I stop writing my book? Should I go curl up in a corner and swallow my truth? Should I shove this whole experience (the good and the bad) into a dark closet where "shameful" stories are to be hidden?

No! I have chosen to be brave and speak up. As to being courageous and honest, my friend Jane told me of a very popular song that addresses these two qualities. The song is "Brave" by Sara Bareilles. "Nothing's gonna hurt you the way that words do when they settle beneath your skin, kept on the inside and no sunlight. Sometimes the shadow wins. But I wonder what would happen if you say what you wanna say and let the words fall out. Honestly, I wanna see you be brave."

The lyrics to this great song speak to me loudly, just as I imagine they do to many other people. "Don't run, stop holding your tongue. Maybe there's a way out of the cage where you live. Maybe one of these days you can let the light in. Show me how big your brave is."

And the song goes on to say, "And since your history of silence won't do you any good. Did you think it would? Let your words be anything but empty. Why don't you tell them the truth?"

So I told my truth!!! And I continue sharing it with anyone who cares to read my words. Some will understand me a little better and will feel empathy. Some will be critical and will judge me. Others will get triggered or annoyed with my story and its details. Some might even take it personally... And maybe some will feel deeply touched and inspired to stop hiding and speak up their own truth.

---------------------

Thank you, Sara Bareilles for your wonderful uplifting and inspiring song.
I will keep it as part of my blog to remind us that we can all be brave and live in our truth!!!

"BRAVE"

You can be amazing
You can turn a phrase into a weapon or a drug
You can be the outcast
Or be the backlash of somebody's lack of love
Or you can start speaking up

Nothing's gonna hurt you the way that words do
When they settle 'neath your skin
Kept on the inside and no sunlight
Sometimes the shadow wins
But I wonder what would happen if you

Say what you wanna say
And let the words fall out
Honestly I wanna see you be brave

With what you want to say
And let the words fall out
Honestly I wanna see you be brave

I just want to see you
I just want to see you
I just want to see you
I wanna see you be brave

I just want to see you
I just want to see you
I just want to see you
I wanna see you be brave

Everybody's been there, everybody's been stared down
By the enemy
Fallen for the fear and done some disappearing
Bow down to the mighty
Don't run, stop holding your tongue
Maybe there's a way out of the cage where you live
Maybe one of these days you can let the light in
Show me how big your brave is

Say what you wanna say
And let the words fall out
Honestly I wanna see you be brave

With what you want to say
And let the words fall out
Honestly I wanna see you be brave

And since your history of silence
Won't do you any good
Did you think it would?
Let your words be anything but empty
Why don't you tell them the truth?

Say what you wanna say
And let the words fall out
Honestly I wanna see you be brave

With what you want to say
And let the words fall out
Honestly I wanna see you be brave

I just want to see you
I just want to see you
I just want to see you
I want to see you be brave

I just want to see you
I just want to see you
I just want to see you
I want to see you be brave

I just want to see you
I just want to see you
I just want to see you
I want see you be brave

I just want to see you
I just want to see you
I just want to see you.

There are two songs that remind me how important it is to speak up and tell my truth. "Brave," by Sara Bareilles is one, the other is Katy Perry's "Roar."  I found this interesting video on YouTube.

I did have this very choice to make when I wrote this post - ""Roar" Vs. "Brave."
I chose "Brave."

Public Opinion

Update as of 10-15-2018 -- The case has been dismissed by both parties.  As we have agreed to move forward, the dismissed case will remain confidential.

----

Today I received notification of three new comments on the post "To Cast and Crew." After reading them, I realized that they all came from the same person. The message was just too long to fit in the allowed space for a single comment.

I have corrected some of the grammar and typos. I have also edited and typeset it so it is easier to read. The original comments are published in the post "To Cast and Crew".

Hi Adriana,
I couldn't help but read your blog. I truly believe you feel hurt by whatever events have transpired, and I commend you for trying to heal or make sense of what these lessons were.
My only concern is bringing all this to public and continuing this saga years later. You mention the names of many people who may feel uncomfortable with being brought into the limelight. For whatever reasons why they have made amends with Mr. Alfieri whether they had issues with him before or not, MUST be respected. You should not be angry with them or accuse them of turning on you. Some people fear conflict or drama.
I personally feel that you have so much healing to do. I do not feel you have "moved on"
I feel that continuing this blog will not allow this wound to heal. I have been in a similar boat where I felt that a man used me. I would continue to think about how I was disrespected and used, and that anger did not allow me to heal.
What helped was actually forgiving him, maybe not forgetting, but I do believe that God wants us to forgive. It is even better for us to do so, even for our health.
When I look back, I can see how there were signs that the man did not love me, and that he perhaps had a motive. Instead of blaming him or even myself, I have made myself stronger and have not allowed myself to be duped again by anyone.
I am concerned for you, as by never ending this story, and by exposing so many people in this story by revealing their real names and roles in this conflict, you will alienate yourself. I am worried that others may be afraid to approach you because they will fear being dragged into this.
Have you ever thought, that through all these lawsuits and through your rating on the web, that maybe the "perpetrator" has now become a victim? Have you not thought that perhaps this man you speak of has learned his own lessons after being dragged through this experience? He must be a changed man or be in his way to change.
If you continue the blogs and Trevino Alfieri saga, neither of you will heal Victor Alfieri will grow sadder and then resentful, and be less likely to have a space to think about what happened and be able to heal.
I just feel you will not be able to heal correctly by publicly rehashing this story. This is out of caring for all those involved. There were 2 parties here
I know of Victor Alfieri very well. Everyone knows he has many close female friends, and seeing him it is knowledgeable what you see is what you get. He never hints of wanting a relationship and is very upfront about who he is. If he wanted money, and you wanted more, a woman should know always that one cannot give a man money in the hopes that perhaps he will be grateful and then give love and affection or a commitment. That is a cardinal rule that every woman should learn.
I understand you were in love, but we, as women need to be strong and allow men to do for us, or have a balance of give and take.
The best way to move on, is to make peace with all this, and extricate yourself from the man and project once the movie is done.
This was a hard lesson for you, but will cause you growth in life as has happened to me. I could have exposed the man who did me wrong or written a book, but I chose to forgive and live my life in peace and a commitment to myself.
You would be surprised at how much life will give you back when you do so. Please forgive and move on and end this saga.
I have realized now that life is so short, and all that matters is our health and our family and our peace of mind.
I wish you peace and all of the above.

Who would take the time to write such a long comment?  It is my belief that the person who wrote this is either someone mentioned on the post or one of Victor's girlfriends. The way she writes about Alfieri and how he behaves with the "ladies" suggests that she is or has been involved with him. She seems to know him very well. It does not really matter who wrote it. However, it should get a proper response. It deserves its own exclusive post!  So here are my answers to the points raised by Anonymous.

Romantic Relationship

It is true that I had a romantic and intimate relationship with Victor Alfieri. It is also true that I loved him and wanted to help him achieve his dreams. I also trusted him as we had plans to start a production company together. Our relationship was much more than a romantic relationship - we were also business partners and friends. He later proved not to be an ethical business partner... and certainly not a friend.

The following posts tell the story of our relationship (my version):

How We Met
Our Relationship - PART I
Our Relationship - PART II

The main reason why the intimate details of our relationship are mentioned is because he accused me of sexually harassing him. He also claimed I was so obsessed with him that when he rejected me, I stole the movie and "slandered" him by claiming he slept with me.  I have simply given my side of the story and have presented supporting evidence.

The following video tells his side of the story. It is actually entertaining to watch. He is very imaginative!

Lawsuit

I did not start the legal battle. He is the one who started it. Please read the following post if you have not done so yet. "Why Did Victor Alfieri Sue Me?"

The real reason he sued me was because he felt exposed when I disclosed our intimate relationship. Please read "What Truly Prompted the Lawsuit"

And let's not forget that he took my money without my authorization, disconnected his phone, went into hiding and then hired attorney Roger Muse to sue me. He sued with MY OWN MONEY. Do you want proof?  Please read "How the Lawsuit Against ME Was Financed". When I learned about this fact in early January 2013, I asked him to return that money to the budget and use it to finish the movie. He refused.

I filed a cross-complaint because it was the only thing I could do. I had to FIGHT BACK. Filing that cross-complaint and litigating cost me about $50,000 (even with insurance). Did I want to spend the extra money???? Of course not!  Did I want to get into these lawsuits??? Absolutely NOT.

Web/Media Coverage

Victor is the one who slandered me and tarnished my reputation. He filed a lawsuit against me with salacious false allegations about me. These court documents were given to the media - by Alfieri's publicist.

As a result of this internet scandal, I lost 75% of my business/income. A few of my clients who are in law enforcement told me that I should give my side of the story. I had to wait until the lawsuit was dropped. Just a couple of months after I dropped the lawsuit,  I gave a press release clearing Victor's name of any "theft" claims. The truth is that I was threatened by his attorney to either give that release or be sued again. Read "Press Release".

In early January this year, I asked Victor to give a public statement - as we had agreed - and tell the truth about our intimate relationship.  He refused.  I then said to him, "if you won't tell the truth, then I will."And that is the ONLY reason I started this blog.  Telling the truth through these posts has been the most healing experience.

Cast & Crew

Anonymous wrote, "My only concern is bringing all this to public and continuing this saga years later. Most of what I wrote to "Cast & Crew" are words of gratitude and appreciation. There are some people, however, that I confront with my truth while expressing my disappointment.  Most of these people are those who came to me looking for my support while we were filming. There are also a few of them who gave public statements to the press (through Alfieri's attorney). I was simply addressing their comments.

If they have made amends with Alfieri, that is their decision. I do respect it. And I also agree that it would be uncomfortable to be associated with Alfieri's unethical actions. If these people are uncomfortable for having done anything unethical, that is really something personal that they should deal with.

Everyone involved in this saga who has read that specific post knows that I am telling the truth at least to what concerns them specifically. I have been brave enough to speak up. We all have freedom of speech in this country, don't we? By concealing unethical behavior, we somehow allow it to perpetuate.

I know the post "To Cast & Crew" is difficult for some. As Anonynous said, "some people fear conflict and drama." I agree - Nobody likes to see the reflection of their own actions in the mirror... or should we say...  Nobody likes to see the consequences of their actions reflected on somebody else's life, especially when such actions are not very "ethical."

I have offered to remove any names if that request is made to me. The fact that I am ready to speak up with integrity does not mean that others are ready to do the same.  I am completely aware of that. As I have said numerous times, I am simply telling my story... the way I experienced it.

Respect, Peace & Healing

Anonymous wrote, "I just feel you will not be able to heal correctly by publicly rehashing this story. This is out of caring for all those involved."

I respect other people's choices. I really do. They are on this earth to fulfill their own life purpose... to travel their own journey. I am not angry at anyone. It has been over two years now. What I refuse to do is to lie to others and to myself. I have made the choice to stand in my truth and live my life showing who I am in the most transparent way.

I don't have a publicist. I am not a "celebrity." All I have is my words... and my story to tell. I am sharing this experience with whomever cares to listen and/or read. This blog has been a great instrument to tell my truth and to somehow clear my name after Victor made those crazy allegations about me. This blog is a practical tool I have used to document the facts of the story.

What happened is in the past. We CANNOT change the past. That is for sure. But we can change our attitude toward it and stay focused on the present.

Forgive & Forget

I believe that Victor's actions - past and current actions - are not acceptable and should not be tolerated by anybody. If we comply and agree to anything that goes against our principles, beliefs... against our integrity, then we will be partially responsible for the results, right?

I have learned that I will not be heard if I don't voice my concerns.  Every time Victor communicates with me (through his fake PA) via email, I express my disagreement on specific points of post-production. I have also made requests as to distribution goes. Alfieri fails to respond and does whatever he wants. I am, at least, voicing my concerns.

Have I forgiven Victor? Yes, I have forgiven him although he has NEVER apologized to me. I believe that everyone deserves forgiveness. I truly believe so.

Moving On

Anonymous suggests that I have not "Moved On." We all have our own way of "Moving On." I have opted to tell the truth through this blog. I have learned that I LOVE writing and also enjoy making and editing my own amateur video clips.

Please read "Moving On". This is a great post. After reading it, it becomes evident that I have truly MOVED ON. I can honestly say that I am in a wonderful place in my life right now!

End of The Trevino-Alfieri Saga?

Anonymous says that she is really concerned about me and my healing. It is so thoughtful of her, especially because she does not even know me. She wrote, "you would be surprised at how much life will give you back when you do so. Please forgive and move on and end this saga."

My romantic relationship with Alfieri ended when we were in Italy in May 2011. My friendship with him ended soon after that, in June 2011. Our business relationship continues because this movie has not been distributed or released yet.  Just two days ago, I went to his home and met with someone outside who gave me a DVD of the final cut of the movie.

I would really like not to have any connection with Alfieri. I have asked him to buy me out of this movie deal so we don't have to communicate ever again. Why doesn't he sell his properties in Italy and uses the money to buy me out?  I sold my home to finance his dream, didn't I? He could easily sell his assets and pay what I invested, right?

Whatever happens, the saga will continue.... but now the only thing that will keep us connected is the movie I chose to finance for him.

As to the book I am writing - it will be nothing like this blog. It will NOT be about Alfieri or what he did to me. It will be about my journey and how this experience served as a catalyst - how it shifted my life and forever transformed me.

I firmly believe that the tougher the challenge we face, the greater the reward we will receive. It is up to us to see every challenge as an opportunity. If what we had collapsed, it is simply to give us enough space to create something new. Let's take our apparent failures and use them as the foundation to build even greater dreams.

Deceit

** The name of the writer has been disclosed again.  Please see 8-22-13 update.

Update August 28, 2020 -- Please read Victim

About four months ago I was planning on hiring Andrea Dolbec to write a script based on the Trevino-Alfieri Story. Although she had no experience writing scripts, I believed she was creative and could come up with an interesting script. She shared with me an "e-book" she wrote. I was not impressed at all, especially with the horrible grammar and style. After I read the very short book, I told her that I was shocked to see so many typos and grammatical mistakes. She assured me that she had not given me the edited version. Why would she give me the rough draft?

I decided to go with another writer with experience and far more talented. I told her that I had chosen a different person. She told me that she still wanted to meet with me and tell me her idea. I reluctantly accepted to meet with her at Cafe Primo on Sunset Blvd.

I listened to her idea for the plot and style of the movie. I actually liked it and thought that maybe I could get two scripts written simultaneously. They were very different. Andrea also told me that she was in a tight financial situation and really needed the money. We agreed to $2,000 plus a percentage of the sale of the script (if it was ever sold or made any money). We would have a written agreement. I would make an initial payment of $750 to get her started. She would also have money to pay her rent. We also agreed that in one month she would have 30 to 40 pages for me to review. At that point, upon delivery of the pages and if I liked what I received, she would get another $750; and the last payment of $500 would be paid when the script was finalized.

Three weeks after I made the initial payment, I asked to see what she had done. We were to meet in person and also sign an agreement. I was aware that I was the person who had more to lose because I had paid her in good faith and she had not delivered any work.

When we met, she did not show me ANY work or notes. She had also changed the plot and style of the movie to something simplistic and totally unacceptable to me. She pushed me to have the next $750 ready for her the following week as she had to pay her rent. I told her that she would not get more money unless I saw the 30-40 pages and they were acceptable to me. I also asked her to write what she was paid to do and not to change the story.

Because she refused to do any work, I asked her for my $750 back. In fact, I told her that she could keep $150 for her time but that I wanted to get at least $600 back, that I would give her time to pay me back. She refused and stated (through long harassing emails) that she was keeping all that money. Why would she keep it??? She did not deliver what she promised - not even one page!

I decided to take her to Conciliation/Small Claims Court. We have a court hearing on the 22nd of this month. Now that she knows that she will not be able to prove that she earned the money she took from me, she is trying to intimidate me. This is the email I received from her tonight.

Dear Adriana Trevino,
I am awaiting the payment of $1250 that is owed to me at this time, per our oral and written agreements.
You have until August 6 to submit payment via paypal or else you will be served with court papers.
Sincerely,
Andrea Dolbec
Andrea Dolbec has done exactly what Victor Alfieri did to me. She has taken my money without earning it and now plans to sue me?????  She wants to get an additional $1,250???? For what????   I would like to warn people about doing business with her. Although for many it would seem that her actions reflect her dishonest, deceitful and manipulative ways... what I believe is that deep inside she knows that what she did is not ethical or professional; however, she does not see a way to make it right. I actually believe that she is genuinely scared and does not see the situation clearly. I certainly hope she finds some peace in her heart.

What I have learned with the experience with Alfieri and now with Dolbec is that some people who either intentionally con others or who "accidentally" or unintentionally do someone wrong refuse to be held accountable for their actions and will fight to defend their position, will lie to others, will especially lie to themselves... until they believe in their minds that they are right and entitled to what they are unjustly taking from others.

Update as of 8/17/13 -

Andrea Dolbec did file a cross-complaint for $1,250, apparently due to my publishing of this specific post.  She was hired to write a script. She was given a portion of the total payment. She did not write one single page... not even an outline. She refused to do any work or to return the money. This coming Thursday, she will stand in court and demand another $1,250!!!  This case should go in front of Judge Judy!

Update as of 8/22/13 -

We had a court hearing today. Andrea Dolbec lied under oath. She claimed that she had handed a treatment to me in person upon the first payment back in April. She had the audacity to submit the "treatment" to the court as evidence. I asked to see it, as it had never been given to me in person, via email or regular mail. How can someone lie like this without any shame or remorse?

It was clear that the attorney acting as "judge" in court did not want to deal with the case. I sued her for $750 and she sued me for $1,250. I claimed I paid her $750 and got no work from her. She claimed she was given the first payment upon delivery of the "so-called" treatment. Because she showed those 2 pages, the "judge" believed her. I did state that she was lying. He said, "it is her word against your word." I did not get my $750 back. She lost her lawsuit as well. She was denied the $1,250 she was demanding from me.

I do admit that it makes sense that the only way Dolbec would be given any money would be either upon signing an agreement or delivering some work. We had no written agreement. I gave her the money because she had to pay her rent.  That was my mistake. I am aware of it. At least I did not lie under oath. I told the truth.

It is too bad that we did not have a proper trial. We only had about 10 minutes to be heard. The questions that remain are:

If Dolbec claims that she gave me the treatment in person, why wouldn't she email it to me when I claimed she had not done any work???? If you were accused of taking money for work you did not do, wouldn't you make sure you forwarded that "work" or proof of that work?

The reason why she did not email it to me or confirmed that she had given it to me in person is because she NEVER gave it to me. Why? Because she had done NO work up the point of my lawsuit. She had ideas... but that was all. I believe that she recently wrote the "treatment" ... either last week, or this week.

I was given a copy of this treatment. The judge/attorney said, "Give the copy to her. She paid for it. It's hers." I will include some excerpts of this treatment in my next update. It is so amateurish... and humorous.

Bottom line - Andrea Dolbec committed perjury. She lied under oath. It is a complete lie that she ever gave me a written treatment. If she had done so, I would have not sued her.

It is my opinion that what Andrea Dolbec has done is unethical and dishonest. I hope she understands that lying under oath is, in fact, a crime.

I am actually happy and relieved that this chapter is closed. I do not have to waste any more of my valuable time. I can continue with my book and actual script.

In spite of all the events that have happened, I hold no resentment toward her. I wish her success and personal growth through increased accountability and awareness.
